Live Kaiwa captures audio from your device microphone during active transcription sessions. This audio is used to generate transcriptions, translations, and suggested responses. Session data including transcripts, translations, and context you provide is stored locally in your browser.
Live Kaiwa requires an email address to create an account and sign in. Authentication is handled via passwordless magic links — no password is ever stored. Your email address is stored by Supabase for authentication purposes only. We do not share your email with third parties.
All session data — transcripts, translations, audio recordings, and conversation context — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). Your conversation data never leaves your device for storage purposes and is not associated with your account on any server.
Live Kaiwa uses the OpenAI API for audio transcription and conversation analysis. When you use the app, audio data and conversation context are sent to OpenAI for processing. According to OpenAI's API data usage policy, data sent through the API is not used to train their models and is not stored after processing. Please refer to OpenAI's API data usage policy for full details.
Authentication is provided by Supabase. Your email address is transmitted to and stored by Supabase for the purpose of account authentication. Please refer to Supabase's privacy policy for full details.
Session data is stored locally in your browser and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser data or by deleting individual sessions from the home page. Once deleted, session data cannot be recovered.
